Exeter Airport And Parking: Everything You Need To Know
An Introduction To Exeter Airport Parking
Heading to Exeter Airport? No problem! They have plenty of car parking options for you to choose from. There are four on-site car parks with two short-stay and two long-stay areas, plus a couple of pick-up and drop-off zones. If you want extra convenience, there are also off-site car parks that offer Meet and Greet services. Just head to parkingcupid.com to book your spot and save yourself some hassle! And don't worry, Exeter Airport has an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system in all of its official car parks - so when you pull up at the barrier, it will recognise your vehicle's registration and let you in. Easy peasy!
Long-stay Parking
Looking for a great price on long-term parking at Exeter Airport? Car Parks 3 and 4 are the places to go! They're both within a complimentary bus ride of the terminal, so you won't have to worry about walking too far. The rates are identical in both car parks, so no matter which one you choose, you'll be getting a great deal for stays between one and 21 days. The only difference is that Car Park 3 is just 300 feet from the terminal building, while Car Park 4 is 2,400 feet away. Both car parks are listed in the Park Mark safer parking scheme, so you know you'll be safe and secure. Plus, there's no vehicle height restriction. Booking online is the best way to get the lowest rates, so don't miss out!
Short-stay Parking
Heading to Exeter Airport? Car Park 1 is the most economical choice if you're only staying up to 30 minutes - it's just 150 feet from the terminal building and even a one-minute walk away. For stays over 30 minutes, though, we suggest Car Park 2 – it’s about 225 feet from the terminal and offers a discounted rate for passengers flying to London City Airport (LCY). So get your car parked up and off you go!
Disabled Parking
Are you a Blue Badge holder? We've got bays specially reserved for you in Car Park 2! Just press the 'call button' at the entry barrier and we'll allocate you one. If you need any special assistance, that can be arranged too. If you don't have a Blue Badge, head to Car Park 3 and park in the bays closest to the shuttle bus stop. For those picking up or dropping off passengers with reduced mobility, we offer a free period - just press the 'call button' at Car Park 1's barrier and request it. Plus, disabled travellers can get discounted rates on official car parks! Hope this helps! Safe travels!
Pick-up And Drop-off
Need to drop off or pick up passengers at Exeter Airport? If you're a Blue Badge holder, have reduced mobility, or are driving someone who is, then you can use the free shuttle bus service from Car Park 4. It's a great option as you can park for 10 minutes without being charged. If you don't fall into any of these categories, you can use the drop-off and pick-up bays in Car Park 1. However, this is chargeable and limited to 8 hours. Don't forget to pay at the pay station located in Car Park 1 or at the arrivals area in the terminal! Taxi drivers – make sure you get a frequent user card from the Customer Service Office in Car Park 2 if you want discounted rates for picking up and dropping off passengers. Enjoy!

Location Of Exeter Airport
Heading to Exeter Airport? The airport is located on the edge of the village of Clyst Honiton in East Devon, 10 km away from Exeter city centre. You can reach it by car via the M5 or B3183 Honiton Road. Unfortunately, there are no direct train services to the airport, so if you're arriving by rail, you need to make your way to Exeter St David's train station, where you'll find buses bound for Axminster that will take you close to the airport. If you're coming from London, it's a 198 km journey; from Bristol, it's 125.5 km and from Plymouth, it's 77.2 km. Happy travels!
History Of Exeter Airport
Exeter Airport opened its doors on May 31st 1937 to the sound of a Jersey Airways DH 86 and a warm welcome from Alfred Anstey, the mayor at the time. Public flights began in September with services to Plymouth and Bristol operating by Railway Air Services Ltd. Sadly, World War II put an end to these flights for seven years before being reopened in 1952 by Jersey Airways. Devon County Council became the sole owner of the airport in 1974 and since then, there has been a steady increase in traffic to over 250,000 people each year. A number of improvements were made to the main runway and passenger facilities to allow for international flights. In 2007 Regional and City Airports Ltd purchased a majority share in the airport before Rigby Group, owner of Coventry Airport, bought it outright in 2013. The 21st century has seen Exeter Airport become the headquarters and primary maintenance facility for Flybe as well as providing a base for Devon Air Ambulance and the National Police Air Service. It's been an incredible journey since opening day!

At Exeter Airport, the management team takes antisocial behaviour very seriously.
